If the fastboot function is enabled in your MS Windows, it's recommended to turn it off because Clonezilla is file system block-based utility. It only knows the blocks on the file system. If fastboot function is enabled for your Windows system, it's not actually unmounted completely when shutting down.
As for how to disable fastboot for MS Windows:
Win button+R button, command box will appear, type powercfg.cpl, press enter, new window will be opened, click on "Choose what the power buttons do" then option will be available: "Turn on fast start-up (recommended)" --> untick it, and save changes, make system reboot, sorted.
